1-1: The debate (first version)

Whether or not, in early childhood, the first pictures and thus also the first human drawings are "universal" or "cultural" is still a matter of debate.

However, to begin with, some clarifications are needed and the question has to be formulated in rather different terms. Above all, the understanding of "pictures" and the reference to the opposition "universal versus cultural" should be discussed.
